Disclaimer: I don’t give a teeny, tiny rat’s ass about the Super Bowl. Not being American, it’s just a game to me – and not a particularly interesting one at that.
I don’t know which teams are playing, I only have the vaguest idea of what they are playing and I certainly won’t be watching.
Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl however, now that’s a game I can get behind.
Check out the starting line-up here. Anthony has great form, I suspect Delilah has been indulging in some performance-enhancing drugs and they’ve probably all been snorting kibble off hookers in the changing rooms.
That’s why there’s no pugs on the field – if those monsters get a whiff of the sweet powder their eyeballs are liable to pop right out of their heads.
To see over 60 puppies compete in a game, commented on by a bird and cheered on by piglets (could it be any more trippy?!), tune into Animal Planet at 3pm tomorrow. I fully expect it to rock my world.
Every Super Bowl requires good snackage so it’s probably time we talked food.
It seems like everyone and their mother has a Super Bowl recipe out there this weekend so, rather than enter the fray and embarrass myself, here are some links:
- Nikki’s Healthy Cookies. Courtesy of the genius that is Heidi Swanson over at http://www.101cookbooks.com.
